Lt. Knighten first joined the CAP as one of the charter members of the Sulphur Springs Senior Squadron that started in

December of 2004.

Lt. Knighten is currently serving as the Communications Officer for the Sulphur Springs Senior Squadron as well as the Communications Maintenance Officer and Engineering Officer for Group II.

Lt. Knighten has been employed in the field of electronics and communications since 1966 and very active as an Amateur radio operator since 1976 and currently holds an Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator License, WW5KK.

Lt. Knighten has served as the General Manager of Inter-County Communications, Inc. since April of 1990 after being employed several years with Motorola, Inc.

In the CAP world, Lt. Knighten has accomplished LV1, SLS, CUL, GES, MO, MS, MRO, MSA, SET, and UDF.
