Capt Hudson first joined CAP as a cadet member of Texas Wing in 1968 in Conroe. In 1970 he moved to western Colorado and was DCC for the Grand Junction Squadron where he served as a ground team member.  He moved back to Texas in 1982 and was out of CAP until December of 2004 when a senior squadron was formed in Sulphur Springs.

Capt Hudson has completed Level Two in CAP, is a Mission Pilot, Ground Team Member, UDF Member, Mission Radio Operator, Mission Staff Assistant, is CD qualified and is currently Commander of the Suphur Springs Senior Squadron.

Capt Hudson is Registered Professional Land Surveyor and owns a company that performs commercial land surveys across the United States and Canada.  He also owns a land surveying company that performs all types of land surveys across the state of Texas.

Steve has a private pilot certificate and owns a Cessna 177B Cardinal, in which he and his family enjoy traveling around the country.

Steve is married to Ann who recently retired after 37 years in public education in Texas.  They have one son, Alan.
